Survey on Solution Focused Applied Psychology
Dear Colleagues,
Dear Solution-Focused Cognoscenti,
Anyone who studies the work of Steve de Shazer knows that Steve was a researcher at heart. Since his death in 2005, many applications have been added to the rich solution-focused catalog.

However, a scientific foundation is lacking. As a result, Solution Focused working (SF) threatens to remain limited to the domain of pure practice. This is of course fine. But this purely practice-oriented way of working means that many colleagues, especially academics, do not find their way to it, or only by accident. Or worse, that the SF model runs aground on unfounded prejudices….
To change this, we are preparing a book that explores a scientific foundation for the SF approach. In doing so, we are using methodological tools that have been tested and recognized in other fields of science.
Today we kindly invite you to help make this research a success by completing the attached survey. If you would also like to FORWARD this mail and survey to solution-focused and other therapy-interested professionals in your network, we would be delighted! THANK YOU for filling out and sharing.
The survey will be available for two weeks. Answering it will take up to 30 minutes of your time.
We will be happy to send you a PDF with the results if you leave your email address at the end of the survey (which will only be used once to send you those results).
Here is the link to a Survey that contains all the questions:

In the name of science and the in the name of the further emancipation of the SF approach,
Best regards and have a nice day,
Mathieu Weggeman & Louis Cauffman
